CHESTERFIELD eased through to the second round of the FA Cup after a 6-1 win over League One side Hartlepool.
Six goals from six different scorers sealed Paul Cook’s first win in charge of the Spireites.
Scott Boden opened the scoring on his return to first team action before Mark Randall and Craig Clay extended the host’s lead.
Terrell Forbes sneaked in at the back post early in the second half to make it four before the visitor’s pulled a goal back through Antony Sweeney.
But Jack Lester restored Chesterfield’s four goal advantage minutes later with his seventh of the season.
Substitute Craig Westcarr then answered the fans’ request for six to complete the rout and put the Spireites in the hat for the second round.
