We’ve got one 2017/18 season ticket to give away and we want you to tell us why you or someone you know deserves to have it.

Manager Gary Caldwell is rebuilding his squad ahead of the League Two season, when Chesterfield will resume hostilities with the likes of Mansfield Town and Lincoln City, and you could be there for every minute of the league campaign at the Proact.

Chesterfield director Ashley Carson has high hopes for the new season.

He said: “Following the disappointment of relegation, we will be striving to come back stronger next season with a new-look squad which is currently being assembled.

“As always, our supporters will have a key role to play and we are pleased to be working with the Derbyshire Times to offer a free season ticket to one lucky fan.”

Derbyshire Times Spireites writer Graham Smyth said: “There are so many Town fans who have been there for their club through thick and thin for many years.

“But we’re not just looking for the long serving supporters, we also want to hear from you if someone you know loves Chesterfield Football Club and for whatever reason could maybe do with a change in fortune.”

The winner will be able to pick the home stand of their choice for their free season ticket.

To give you an idea of the prize’s worth, without the club’s early bird deal, an adult season ticket for the West Stand centre section, with a great view of the dugouts and technical areas, would set you back £525.

Season ticket holders enjoy priority purchase for away matches and cup ties, and get a 10 per cent discout in the Club Superstore at the Proact Stadium.

They can also access discounts on True Blue travel to away games.

To be in with a chance of winning the season ticket, visit https://www.facebook.com/DTSpireites/ and follow the instructions to nominate yourself or another Spireites supporter.

Entries must be submitted by 1st June and entrants must be aged 14 or over.

We’ll pick three finalists before inviting the Chesterfield fanbase to vote for the winner.

The judges’ decision will be final and normal Derbyshire Times competition rules apply.
