Jordan Bowery looks set to put pen to paper on a three-year contract with Aston Villa today.
Before that can happen, the 21-year-old player Chesterfield FC player has to pass a medical and agree personal terms with the Premier League club.
It is thought Bowery’s move from the Proact Stadium to Villa Park will earn the Spireites a £500,000 transfer fee.
There will also be a number of add-ons, which have still to be finalised.
Caretaker manager Tommy Wright, who took over team affairs following the departure of John Sheridan, will be on the lookout to make one or two signings ahead of the transfer window.
One could be a midfielder while the other may be a replacement for the Villa-bound Bowery
