Carl Lamb has left Chesterfield on the eve of Saturday’s match against Yeovil Town without making a first team appearance.
The 29-year-old officially signed on September 12, 2014 after impressing Spireites boss Paul Cook whilst on trail at the club.
Lamb agreed non-contract forms with Chesterfield and was a named substitute in the match day squad on a handful of occasions.
Chesterfield manager Paul Cook wished the striker, who had time at Liverpool and Chester as a youngster, well for the future.
He said: “After taking a look at Carl, we felt it was only fair to let him go in search of first-team football after being unable to provide him with game time.”
