Richard O’Donnell will remain at Stockport County until April 16, after an agreement was reached between Chesterfield and the Blue Square Premier strugglers to extend his loan at Edgeley Park.

O’Donnell, 24, joined Stockport in the middle of last month in order to play some regular first-team football after losing his place in goal to Tommy Lee.

The Spireites have a recall clause on the keeper, allowing manager Paul Cook to bring him back to the Proact with 24 hours notice if required.
