We’re in a good place again.

That was the message from Spireites captain Ian Evatt ahead of his side’s battle against Barnsley on Saturday.

Chesterfield are unbeaten in their last three in all competitions and have kept clean sheets in all of those games.

Evatt has partnered Charlie Raglan in the last two, which has included a 6-0 win at Braintree Town in the FA Cup.

The two were selected once more to face Crewe Alexandra at Gresty Road in a return to League One last Saturday.

And the prospect of facing Barnsley in another South Yorkshire-North Derbyshire clash is one Evatt is relishing.

He said: “When the Proact’s full and we’re at it the place is rocking. We’re really looking forward to it, we’re in a good place again at the moment and hopefully we can get three points.”

A bumper home crowd is expected and the visitors have sold-out their away allocation of around 2,500 tickets.
