Chesterfield FC have begun their pre-season build-up in preparation for the big kick off on next month.
John Sheridan has been putting his squad - which includes five new signings - through their paces.
The lads are pictured here limbering up at the Cylinders Sports Ground at Hasland.
The new signings are goalkeeper Richard O’Donnell, from Sheffield Wednesday, striker Marc Richards, from Port Vale, central defender Sam Hird, from Doncaster Rovers, defender Terrell Forbes, from Leyton Orient and midfielder Sam Togwell, from Scunthorpe United.
Manager Sheridan wants the Spireites to bounce straight back into League One and he and his coaching staff will be keeping the players on their toes to ensure they are at peak fitness and ready to face the challenges of a long season.
Their first game in public is the tradition match at Causeway Lane against neighbours Matlock Town.
It usually attracts in excess of 1,000 spectators and this year it will be held on Tuesday, July 24, kicking off at 7.30pm.
The following Saturday, Sheridan takes his troops to Telford United.
There are two pre-season friendlies at the B2net - against Huddersfield on Tuesday, August 7, before Nigel Clough brings his Derby County to Whittington Moor on Saturday, August 11, kick off 3pm.
Chesterfield will be in serious competitive action for the first time on Tuesday, August 14, when Tranmere Rovers are the visitors in the first round of the Capital One Cup.
Four days later, Chesterfield begin their campaign for promotion when they travel south to meet AFC Wimbledon.
