Paul Cook’s Chesterfield FC line up as predicted by the Derbyshire Times’ Matt Brooks.
GK - Tommy Lee - The Chesterfield keeper is one of three survivors from the JPT winning side from 2012 in the current squad. The former Manchester United trainee has excelled for the Spireites this season and made man of the match performances against Oldham and Fleetwood en route to the final.
RB - Tendayi Darikwa - Hotly tipped for a bright future in the game, the 22-year-old has had Premier League scouts watching him for the best part of a year including Manchester United manager David Moyes. Can operate anywhere down the right side of the pitch and enjoys getting forward.
CB - Ian Evatt - The experienced centre-half is in line for his fourth Wembley appearance having previously played there for Blackpool in 2007, 2010 and 2012. A natural leader, he has played at the highest level and displayed a re-assuring presence when the pressure has been on.
CB - Liam Cooper - One of the stand out performers for Chesterfield. Previously unproven, he moved to the Proact Stadium from Hull City in late 2012 and has taken to first team football like a duck to water. Continues to impress and another one who is attracting attention from higher up the leagues.
LB - Ritchie Humphreys - The former Sheffield Wednesday and Hartlepool man has been around football a long time and, at 36, commands a vital position off the pitch as well as on it. He has racked up over 40 games this season and is the current chairman of the Professional Footballers’ Association.
CM - Sam Morsy - A tenacious midfielder, who has achieved promotion from League Two with Port Vale in the past, is never one to shirk out of a challenge. The 22-year-old has added goals to his game in recent weeks and scored an important one in the first leg of the area final win over Fleetwood.
CM - Jimmy Ryan - An ever-present this season, the former Scunthorpe United man is a popular figure around Chesterfield. Good passer, quick feet, mobile and an eye for goal are just some of the qualities he possesses. So often the driving force for the Spireites this campaign.
RAM - Jay O’Shea - When he is on his game, and in the last third of the pitch, anything can happen. Is blessed with two good feet and sense of balance. Twists and turns defenders into knots, has a habit of popping up with a wonder goal and the chief executive likens his style of play to Robbie Keane.
CAM - Ollie Banks - Has been given a second chance in the professional game after he was released by Rotherham United in 2012. A young talent who made an immediate impact with some important goals when he signed from non-league FC United of Manchester earlier in the season.
LAM - Gary Roberts - The influential winger has sparkled for the Spireites, contributing goals and leading the way in assists. The former Swindon Town man has tasted Wembley glory before with Huddersfield and another success would be just reward for a fine season for Chesterfield.
ST - Eoin Doyle - Paul Cook worked with the Irishman during a successful spell at Sligo Rovers and is likely to give Doyle the nod at Wembley. The former Hibs man has shown glimpses of his goal scoring pedigree and is a cool head from the penalty spot, which is always a bonus.
