Eoin Doyle has made the headlines for his goalscoring exploits this season, 22 so far, but does just as much running sideways and backwards as he does forwards.

His workrate is exemplary of the way Chesterfield line up, whether he be up front or condensing the midfield on one of the flanks, pressurising their opponents in to an error.

He has a knack for scoring in the big games too. Another tireless runner that Chesterfield fans will know of well, Jamie Ward, spent 18 months in north Derbyshire before joining Sheffield United and then Derby County.

Ward has made 18 appearances this season and featured in to the Rams’ third round tie against Southport, one of several changes Steve McClaren made for the match after a 2-0 defeat of Leeds United days before.
