League Two champions Chesterfield FC have suspended sales of season tickets.
Tickets for next season have been taken off sale to enable reconciliation and administration work to be completed ahead of the start of the 2011/12 campaign.
A record number of season tickets - believed to be in the region of 4,500 - have been sold in advance of Chesterfield FC’s League One campaign which kicks off at Tranmere Rovers on Saturday, August 6.
An announcement will be made later concerning future season ticket sales.
Chesterfield FC chairman Barrie Hubbard said: “There have been a record number of season tickets sold this year so we now need to take stock ahead of the new season.”
Meanwhile, existing season ticket holders are reminded that their new season ticket SmartCard is awaiting collection from the Spireites ticket office.
Non-season ticket holders have until Friday, July 29, to buy a new Loyalty SmartCard, which guarantees the right to purchase a ticket for every Spireites home game at the B2net next season, plus other benefits as well.
