Three out of four Spireites fans have backed Danny Wilson to guide their club to a top half finish in League One this season.

The Derbyshire Times ran a poll on our live blog over the past 24 hours, and 75 per cent of the fans who responded predicted a top half finish.

Wilson took over at the Proact on Christmas Eve.

Chesterfield are unbeaten in three and have won their last two games, holding Coventry to a 1-1 draw, thrashing Shrewsbury 7-1 and taking a valuable three points at Rochdale on Saturday.

They sit 17th in League One having endured a difficult start to the season under former boss Dean Saunders, who was fired after a 4-0 defeat at home to Swindon.

Wilson has said he wants to firstly ensure Chesterfield stay in the divison, before turning his attention to a top half finish.

Spireites travel to fifth placed Wigan this Saturday.
