OPPOSITION VIEW: Gregory a doubt for Saturday's visitors Millwall, but Morison and Worrall in form

The Lions provide the opposition for the Spireites’ fifth league game for the second season running, and the two sides have got off to almost identical starts with two wins, a draw and a defeat apiece.

Many have tipped Neil Harris’ men to be among the top six come the end of the 2016/17 League One season.

Harris managed to retain the key performers from last term, when he led them all the way to the play-off final, only to lose out to Barnsley at Wembley.

He strengthed his squad with the addition of former Glasgow Rangers and Plymouth Argyle winger Gregg Wylde, along with ex Fulham defender Shaun Hutchinson and wide man David Worrall who left Southend.

It has been Worrall who has settled in quickest at the Den.

South London Press sports editor Richard Cawley said: “He’s the kind of player Harris likes, can do the hard side of the game and tries to pop up in the other box too.”

Cawley says Millwall have played well thus far this season, with a notable exception.

“They’ve had one blip and it was quite a big blip at Peterborough when they were very poor and lost 5-1, they were getting cut open time and time again.

“That’s not like them, they’re not the prettiest but they’re fairly compact and the two up front, Steve Morison and Lee Gregory are live wires.”

Morrison, with three goals to his credit already, is likely to face the Spireites, but Gregory is an injury doubt having come off against Sheffield United on Saturday holding his hip.

Hutchinson will miss out through injury.

Millwall centre-half Byron Webster is said to be a target of Sheffield United and although reports in South Yorkshire say the Blades have made a bid, Harris has spoken to his own local media insisting no offer from United has been received.

Last season Chesterfield won 2-0 at the Den and lost 2-1 at the Proact.
