MATCH PREVIEW: Wilson can't make wholesale changes, Stanley confident of Proact win

Wilson is currently without long term injury victims Tommy Lee, Liam O’Neil, Angel Martinez and Dan Jones, while Dion Donohue and Rai Simons have recently picked up knocks.

And Ched Evans, whose rape trial at Cardiff Crown Court begins today, is likely to be out for another three to four weeks with a heel problem.

The Town manager admitted: “I can’t do a great deal.

“What you see is what you get, that’s our squad, so it’ll have to be chosen from that.”

Opponents Accrington Stanley have just snapped up a stiker who very recently was on trial at the Proact.

Gary Taylor-Fletcher couldn’t agree a deal with the Spireites and after a trial with Wrexham, joined John Coleman’s side.

For Stanley, Shay McCartan is struggling with injury while Seamus Conneely and John O’Sullivan are close to returns.

Coleman is confident his side can overcome the Spireites.

“We do not want to go into the last group game at Wolves being a dead rubber so we have got to give ourselves a chance to qualify for the next stage by winning at Chesterfield,” he said

“We have to treat it as a one-off game and we know we are capable of winning it.”
