Chesterfield got their home campaign off to the perfect start in a comfortable win over sorry Swindon Town. Gary Liddle and Jay O’Shea had the Spireites deservedly ahead with Swindon goalkeeper Lawrence Vigouroux keeping the score respectable at the break. Ched Evans marked his home debut with a goal midway through the second half before Town substitute Darnell Furlong’s late effort only proved to be a consolation goal.
