Chesterfield are five points clear of the drop zone after today’s results in League One.

While Danny Wilson’s men were holding midtable Scunthorpe United to a 1-1 draw, only one of the six teams below them picked up a win.

The side directly below the Spireites, Fleetwood, were beaten 2-0 at home to Barnsley.

Blackpool beat second bottom Crewe 2-1, to swap places with Doncaster, who moved into the relegation zone, after a 2-1 defeat at home by Peterborough.

Oldham lost 3-2 at home to Rochdale, while Walsall beat bottom side Colchester 2-1.

At the other end of the table, leaders Burton thumped Port Vale 4-0 away from home.

Wigan were 1-0 victors over Bradford, the Bantams slipping out of the play-off positions, replaced by Barnsley.

Sheffield United went down 1-0 to Millwall, Coventry and Swindon played out a 0-0 draw, Southend and Gillingham finished 1-1, and there was also a draw between Bury and Shrewsbury, who scored two apiece.
