Chesterfield FC fans had an opportunity to get up close and personal with the JP Trophy before the start of Saturday’s home game against Scunthorpe.

For the magnificent trophy was paraded by youth team players at the B2net before the kick off.

Chesterfield won the trophy by defeating Swindon Town 2-0 at Wembley six days earlier.

But they were unable to take the momentum into their League One programme and following a 4-1 defeat by Sheffield United, they went down by the same score against Scunthorpe.

Those two results left manager John Sheridan’s team ten points adrift of the safety zone at the bottom of League One.
