Chesterfield FC Community Trust are offering an opportunity for aspiring footballers aged 16-17 years old to get a Futsal and Education Scholarship .
This special two-year Futsal programme, which is the only form of indoor football approved by FIFA, UEFA and the FA, is combined with a full-time education package, incorporating BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sports and Leisure, which is equivalent to up to three A-levels.
There is also an opportunity for vocational qualifications, such as Level 1 and 2 football coaching and Level 1 futsal coach.
The door is also opened to a coaching career in football or futsal and a chance to gain Level 1 futsal referee.
Potential recruits, who must be aged 17 or under at 31 August 2012, are being invited to a special Open Evening which are being held at the B2net Stadium from 7pm on Thursday 5 July and Thursday 12 July.
There is an opening for up to 17 young men to apply for this great chance.
With over two million players regularly participating in fast-paced five-a-side action that rewards good technique and game intelligence, futsal is globally recognised as one of the fastest growing indoor sports in the world.
Learners will have the opportunity to train and play futsal for up to 8 hours a week with Chesterfield FC Community Trust coaches, under the direction of the Football League Trust.
Training will be supplemented with fortnightly regular fixtures against other teams, representing professional clubs, in the Football League Trust Futsal League.
