Hopes were high at Huish Park that Chesterfield FC would hake their battle against relegation to the last day of the League One season.
And those aspirations went stratospheric when Jordan Bowery gave the Spireites an early lead against Yeovil Town.
More than 500 supporters - including BBC racing driver The Stig - travelled to the game and they are pictured celebrating the opening goal.
Yeovil levelled before substitute Danny Whitaker and gave Chesterfield a 2-1 lead with 20 minutes remaining.
Unfortunately, the Blues Great Escape came to an end after the hosts netted two goals as the Spireites returned to League Two after just one season at the higher level.
