Chesterfield manager Gary Caldwell has strengthened his backroom team by bringing in Steve Eyre as a coach.
Eyre spent 21 years with Manchester City, winning five youth league titles and the FA Youth Cup. He managed Rochdale in 2011 and was later senior professional development coach at Huddersfield Town.
Caldwell, who met Eyre on a UEFA Pro Licence course, said: “I felt we needed someone to help me, Ritchie (Humphreys) and Matt (Duke).
“Steve has great experience at this level and higher. He’s really committed to coming here and I think he’ll be a great addition to the staff.”
