Spireites striker Eoin Doyle has won League One’s player of the month award for September.
Doyle hit hat-tricks in successive games against Scunthorpe United and Preston North End to take his tally for the month to seven goals in four games.
Chesterfield manager Paul Cook said: “I am delighted that Eoin’s excellent form has been recognised in this way.
“He fully deserves the award as he always works hard for the team, which is something we all appreciate.
“Eoin has been excellent for us since he joined the club. He always works very hard and he is getting his rewards for that hard work.”
Sky Sports’ Football League pundit Don Goodman, who was on the selection panel, said: “Hats off to Eoin - scoring hat-tricks in successive games is a huge achievement.
“The fans love him, and no wonder. As well as scoring goals, he doesn’t give up lost causes and must be a nightmare for defenders to play against.”
