League Two champions Chesterfield FC will attend at civic reception to celebrate the club’s title-winning success on Tuesday, July 12.
The victorious Spireites, who are looking forward to life in League One, are expected to arrive at Chesterfield Town Hall in an open-top bus.
They will travel from the B2net Stadium on Whittington Moor and tour the town centre before arriving at the Town Hall where players and Blues chiefs will meet Chesterfield Borough Council leaders at 6.30pm.
The players and management will be given a warm welcome by the mayor, Cllr Peter Barr and the leader of the council, Cllr John Burrows.
The players will be invited onto the balcony with their League Two champions trophy.
Members of the public are invited to welcome the team outside the front of the town hall and to join in the celebrations.
Cllr Burrows said: “It’s been a great achievement for the Club this year and is a real boost for the town.
“We’re delighted to welcome the team and management to the Town Hall and hope residents and fans, including those who may not have managed to attend the last game of the season, can take this opportunity to come along and join in the celebrations.”
