A lot of the players have never played competitive football before so they are getting to know their roles within the team.

Despite this, they have kicked off the season with a bang, winning by amazing scorelines of 10-0 and 12-0, and only conceding two goals so far.

The U12s have shown excitement to receive their news kits, now adorned by the Chesterfield FC badge.

“I feel really proud to wear the Chesterfield badge,” says player Lois Watson.

“I’m so happy to be playing for Chesterfield Ladies and it’s exciting to be representing the club.”

As a result of the Community Trust link, first team players Alyss Hearnshaw, Nicolle Watson and Steph O’Brein all coaching the U12s.

“They are a pleasure to coach and they all want to learn,” says O’Brein.

“It’s amazing to see how far they have come in a short amount of time.”

The partnership with the Trust has enabled a lot of young talent to progress from school to club level with Chesterfield Ladies FC.

We have sides at Under 12, 13, 14, 15, 18 and our first team.

The club are expanding by setting up an age five to 11 club for young girls in the near future.

Let’s hope the U12s can keep up the good work and top the league table!
