Caldwell wants to strengthen Spireites backroom as Purchase departs
Chesterfield boss Gary Caldwell wants to bolster another area of his backroom team after it was confirmed strength and conditioning coach Mal Purchase had left the club.
Purchase was brought to the Proact Stadium by Dean Saunders towards the start of the former Wales international’s brief spell as Spireites manager in the summer of 2015.
Chesterfield confirmed Purchase had left today (Thursday, February 23) by mutual consent and there were no immediate plans to replace him.
Caldwell said: “I feel that we can strengthen another area of the backroom staff. I would like to thank Mal for his services and wish him all the best for the future.”
