Alfreton Town have made their fourth signing of summer with former Notts County, Tamworth and Lincoln City midfield man Jake Sheridan penning a one-year deal with the club.
Nottingham-born Sheridan, 27, began his career in local football with Dunkirk before moving on to Notts County in August 2005 where he made a total of 30 appearances, scoring once.
After two years with the Magpies, he moved to Tamworth where he clocked up 74 appearances, scoring six times as the Lambs won the Conference North title under Gary Mills.
A loan spell with Lincoln City from November 2011 to May 2012 was followed by a permanent move and he went on to become a regular in the City side over the past two seasons, going on to make over 90 appearances for The Imps.
Alfreton manager Nicky Law is delighted at capturing a player with plenty of nous at Conference Premier and beyond levels.
“I think he is another player that has got plenty of experience at this level, he is of a good age, he can play in various positions and again, he is coming to the club for the right reasons” said Law.
“He is a fit lad, quite a dynamic player and that suits our criteria.”
