Alfreton Town manager Nicky Law has made a registration deadline day loan signing in the form of goalkeeper Joe Wildsmith.

The Reds boss has brought in the 18-year-old from Championship club Sheffield Wednesday on loan to the end of the season.

The highly-rated prospect signed his first professional contract with the Owls in November and will wear number one during his stay at the Impact Arena.

While striker Paul Clayton has been suspended for three games after accepting a charge by video evidence over an offence he committed in the defeat at FC Halifax Town on Monday night.

Clayton will miss the trio of home games against Nuneaton Town on Saturday, Welling United on April 5 and Aldershot Town on April 8.
