Alfreton Town manager Nicky Law will be looking for his side to respond strongly to Saturday’s FA Cup defeat when they return to Skrill Premier action on Tuesday with a trip to Tamworth.

The Reds had too many players having an off-day at Wrexham and they will need to return to form if they are to get anything at Tamworth who are now looking forward to an FA Cup second round home tie against Bristol City having beaten Cheltenham Town 1-0 at the Lamb on Saturday.

The Bristol City game will take a back seat for Tamworth who will be battling hard for points to pull them away from their league position of 20th, just above the relegation places.

Reds boss Law has no new injury or suspension worries with just striker Paul Clayton still recuperating from a long-lasting ankle injury which will keep him out for up to another three weeks.

And Law will be keen for his side to build on their previous two league wins as they seek to stabilise their top half of the table position.

Last season saw Alfreton take four points from the Lambs as the sides drew 1-1 in Staffordshire before the Reds triumphed 3-0 in the return game at the Impact Arena.

Kick-off at the Lamb is 7.45pm and ATFC Supporters Association transport departs at 5.30pm. Seats can be booked by contacting Mark Thorpe on 07857 558401.
