Five minutes into the second half centre Jon Betts put flanker Robert Atkinson into a gap and he ran in teasing the defender on his way to the line.

The fourth try came on 55 minutes from a Dinnington scrum, with a great steal by lively flanker Hugo Ross enabling the ball to be fed out wide to the Dronfield wing to boost the score to 26-0.

Ten minutes later Paul Hirst broke through to score after a period of pressure on the Dinnington line. 31-0

Great team work led to a final Dronfield score just before the end with second row Taylor Stephenson making the vital touchdown. 38-0

The plucky Dinnington side never gave up and with the help of a bit of Dronfield indiscipline had the last word with a late try to make the final score 38-5

Dronfield 2nd XV playing in pennant league 2 nearly made it a double but ran out of forwards and went down to a narrow loss against Dinnington seconds.
