Killamarsh Juniors are through to the semi-finals of the Dey and Co Alma Cup along with Tibshelf Town.

Juniors beat Doe Lea Villa 3-0 and Town won 3-2 at Hollingwood. James Edge, Gary Parsons and Jonathan Pagman hit the Killamarsh goals.

The two highest-placed clubs in the Chatsworth Cup both made progress with division four leaders Rowthorne Lane SC thumping Hasland Wanderers 6-1 and second in fourth Three Horse Shoes beating Barracuda 4-1.

Josh Parfitt hit a couple in Rowthorne’s win while Dan Cox scored a superb hat-trick for Three Horse Shoes.

Also going through are Poolsbrook for whom John Parson’s goal proved to be enough to beat Royal Oak Brampton and Highfield for whom Danny Keenan scored twice in a 3-2 win over Harleys.

Renishaw MW remain on course for a league and cup double as the division seven leaders beat White Hart 6-0 in the Hutson Cup.

Holmebrook Tavern and Hopflower Utd were tied at 2-2 after 90 minutes and extra time, Strong and Parsons for Tavern, Weaver and Hardy for Utd but Tavern held their nerve to win the ensuing penalty shoot out 4-2. Third-placed Hasland Devonshire Reserves took on second-placed Woodthorpe Inn of eight and beat them 2-1, Wilson and Ordidge with the match winning goals.

Dronfield Miners also go through after goals from Hopwood, Wood and Lockitt saw them beat North Wingfield MW 3-2.

ABM Birdholme WMC finally found some form in the only first division game of the day as they beat Creswell Rose and Crown 4-1, Jamie Magee, Steve Revill, Steve Lambird and Nicky Frampton the marksmen.

It’s as you were in the second division as both leaders Eckington Boys and second-placed Elton both won again.

Eckington’s victory came against Dronfield Town as Hutchinson and Knowles both hit doubles in the 4-2 score line. Tim Baker provided the inspiration for Elton, hitting a fine hat-trick against New Whitt who just lost out 3-2. Clowne Wanderers also won, Madin, Richardson and Pearson on target against Bolsover Old Boys Reserves.

Oxcroft MW have been on a good run of form recently and promotion now looks a real possibility after the 7-1 rout of Talbot saw them go second in division three. Leading the way were M Proctor and D Ward who both registered doubles for Oxcroft.

Creswell Rose and Crown faced Wingerworth Barley Mow and Simon Furniss scored twice, Stacey Mallory, Ritchie Bleakley and Gregg Stoppard once as they won 5-2.

Black Swan took on Devonshire and goals from Matt Needham, Ben Marsh and Chris Noon saw them win 3-0.

Four games took place in division six and only one produced a winner, the other three being drawn. Dronfield Town Reserves were the winning side, a Mike Robinson goal proving to be enough to beat Palterton Sporting Club. Town played 75 of the game with just ten men!

Leaders New Inn Newton were held to a 1-1 draw by Butchers Arms as were second-placed Dronfield Woodhouse, Nick Hooper for Woodhouse, Rick Kirk for opponents Gate Inn North Wingfield.

The other draw was at Cock and Magpie were Clarke scored two for the hosts, Nisbeth and Raymond for the visitors, Hasland Community.

In seven second-placed Britannia took an early lead at Ace of Clubs and by the interval their lead had been doubled. That lead was increased to 3-0 early in the second half before Ace of Clubs scored to give them hope.

However a fourth midway through the second-half secured the points for the Brit. Britannia’s scorers were B Meggesy, D Brown, L Wright and S Goodwin.
