Curtis Hooper looks destined for a long and glittering career as an international ten-pin bowler.
For he was a star performer when he represented England in the Junior Triple Crown event against Scotland, Ireland and host nation Wales.
A member of Chesterfield Spires Young Bowling Club, Curtis brought home an incredible haul of medals from the showdown.
He took part in all six events at the championships and won a medal in every one.
Curtis scooped bronze in the All Events and won silver medals in the Singles, Doubles, Trios and Team events.
But it was in the Masters where he really displayed his bowling pedigree.
For he blew away the opposition and claimed the gold medal from the top of the podium.
The home international event lasted three days and Curtis posted some really extraordinary statistics.
During the competition he bowled 20 games and at an impressive average of 224 pins per game.
Curtis is a product of the Chesterfield club which meets at Storforth Lane every Saturday morning for cut-price bowling.
The action starts at 10am and new members are always welcome.
