Staveley Welfare remain rooted to the bottom of Derbyshire Division One after a nine wicket defeat away at Ilkeston Rutland on Saturday.
Luke Mantle (65), Joe Bullimore (30) and Adam Wiles (40) led the attack with the bat for Staveley as the helped the team to a total of 213-7 from 50 overs.
Chris Trueman Junior boasted the best of the bowling for Ilkeston with 3-47 from his time with the ball in hand, as the hosts needed just over four an over to win in reply.
As it proved, they cruised home with consummate ease, surpassing the required total in the 31st over of their innings to take a nine-wicket victory.
David Smit carried his bat in a fantastic innings for Ilkeston of 132 alongside Luke Marriott (50*). Michael Chambers (27) was the only wicket to fall to Chris Bullimore.
Staveley are next in action this coming Saturday, when they will be hoping to get a positive result to ignite their chances of beating the drop against Cutthorpe.
