Andy is Pick of the guests at winter meet

The Bassetlaw Umpires Association hold their first monthly meeting of this year’s Winter period at the Cuckney Cricket Centre on Saturday, November 1.

The guest will be former Notts pace bowler and current bowling coach Andy Pick. Since retirement as a player, Andy has been in charge of the England Under-19s setup and also the Canadian national team.

He played 195 first class matches for Notts. and also 204 in the one day variety.

He took 495 first-class wickets at 33.24 and was also a useful lower order batsman with 2259 runs at 14.96. In the one day format he took a further 242 wickets at 31.92 and added 631 runs at 17.05.

Andy is a well known figure in Bassetlaw League circles having represented Notts. Colts, Clipstone and Glapwell in the league.

The meeting starts at 2.30pm and everyone is welcome to attend.
