Robertson signs new deal with Spireites
Defender Gregor Robertson has agreed a new one-year deal with Chesterfield FC.
Robertson joined the Blues two years ago from Rotherham United but his initial contract ran out this summer.
The Edinburgh-born player, who began his career as a trainee with Nottingham Forest, has made 73 league appearances for Chesterfield and has scored three league goals.
Robertson (25) is the fourth out-of-contract player to agree to stay with the Spireites after defender Aaron Downes and midfielder Derek Niven agreed new two-year deals and central defender Danny Hall agreed a new one-year deal.
Meanwhile, striker Jack Lester has signed a new extended deal which keeps him with Chesterfield until June 2011, while manager John Sheridan's first new signing has been former skipper Ian Breckin who has rejoined the Spireites on a two-year deal.
All the players have reported for the start of pre-season training which began today.
