Midland Cup joy for teens

Chesterfield FC's youth team has booked its ticket to the semi-final of the Midland Youth Cup.

The Spireites teenagers won their place in the last four by hammering Hinckley United 5-0 in the first round and defeating Cheltenham Town 4-2 on penalties.

Man of the match in the Cheltenham game was keeper Dan Whitsize who gave a heroic display.

The youngsters take on Lincoln City U18s away at Sincil Bank on Monday, February 18, kick-off 7pm for a place in the final.
