Nigel Bond potted his way to the World Seniors Championship over the weekend without conceding a frame.

The former British Open Winner, 41, beat Welshman Tony Chappel 2-0 in a best-of-three final at Portsmouth’s Mountbatten Centre to scoop £18,000 in prize money.

The Old Tupton based player, who is ranked 45 on the tour, saw off Dennis Taylor in the quarter finals before taking on Tony Knowles and Darren Morgan on his way to Sunday’s final.
