Big day for Louis with James Milner

Lucky youngster, Louis Money, 7, from Chesterfield had the experience of a lifetime when he walked out alongside James Milner ahead of The FA Community Shield at Villa Park.

The once-in-a-lifetime experience gave 22 youngsters across the UK the chance to walk out with some of the Premiership’s biggest stars at the annual season curtain raiser, which saw Manchester City beat Chelsea 3-2 in the hotly contest match.

Louis, who won the chance to walk out alongside his football heroes after entering a national competition on the McDonald’s KickStart website, said: “Sunday was such an exciting day!

“I met Sir Geoff Hurst at the training ground in the morning, before going into the stadium to practice and then walk out with the players.

“The best part was waiting in the tunnel with all of the Chelsea and Manchester City players around us and the noise that the fans made when we walked out!”

World Cup winner and McDonald’s Director of Football, Sir Geoff Hurst, said: “This year’s FA Community Shield was a great match, the teams put on a great spectacle to set the tone for the start of the new season.

“Walking out with some of the most famous players in the world will be an experience that Louis will never forget.

“The noise of the fans in the stadium as you walk onto the pitch is something that not many people get to experience and I am sure the memories will stay with Louis for a long time.”
