Killamarsh Derbyshire Arrows have made signings three and four of the summer with the additions of Christian Tshimankinda and Cameron McCallum.
Tshimankinda is said to have impressed the Arrows coaching staff throughout the summer and has been rewarded with a place on the 2014/15 roster for the EBL Division Two side.
The 27-year-old arrived from EBL Division Four North outfit Leeds Tigers. He offers bags of experience following previous spells at Leeds Carnegie and Bradford Dragons.
Arrows followed this up with the capture of 6’8” centre McCallum from Australian club Melton Thoroughbreds - averaging 12 points and nine rebounds per game in the current Australian Big V Conference season.
He has dual nationality, despite representing Australia at junior and national levels, which leaves the Arrows open to signing a player from a country outside the European Union.
He was highly recommended to the Arrows by last season’s Most Valuable Player Darren Best, who joined BBL outfit Manchester Giants last month. McCallum is the fourth new face to join Arrows this summer and will arrive in time to make his debut against Sheffield Hallam Sharks in the National Cup first round on September 21.
While, the Arrows U18s have announced their second summer signing of the summer in the form of 6’3” forward Hamza Ibrahim. He followed hot on the heels of former Sheffield Saints’ Levi Brock.
