The tenth running of the popular Morton Fun Run takes place this Sunday (21st). The event is made up of two runs, the Morton Challenge and the Morton Mini Challenge.

The Morton Challenge is a 5km trail run that covers two 2.5km laps of the trail and woods that surround the old Morton Colliery.

The course is mainly flat with a challenging sting on both laps of the tough climb to the top of the colliery mound! This event starts at 11am and is open to all runners over 12.

The Morton Mini Challenge starts at 12 noon and is a flat one mile off-road family run, open to all over six, and covers two half mile laps.

As a bonus as it is Fathers Day, dads running with their children in the Mini Challenge run for free.

Full details and maps of both races can be found on the Morton village website on www.mortonparishcouncil.org.uk
