Clowne Villa Res entertained Shirebrook Rangers last Monday and the away team proved just too much and edged the game by the odd goal in three.

Middle put in a very good performance as they proved too strong for their visitors Holmewood & Heath. Wayne Marsden, Alex Offless and Richie Bleakley scored for the home team with Keaton Holland netting for Holmewood.

On Wednesday Renishaw SC and Nags Head went head to head and it turned out to be a thrilling game. Renishaw in particular playing very well and edged this seven-goal thriller. Tony Dean, Jamie Plawecki, Aaron Blakemore and Daniel Fletcher were all on target for Renishaw with Dave Marshall, Nicky Frampton and Stevie Gill scoring for Nags.

Hopflower travelled to Tibshelf and were far too strong on the night, netting four times without reply.

On Saturday Nags Head hosted All Inn at Langer Lane and were looking to put a dent in All Inn’s push for a treble. However, All Inn were in no mood to be derailed and despite Nags best efforts it was the visitors who took three valuable points.

Craig Humphries and a brace from Rockie White, whose second was a fantastic effort, ensure that the treble is still very much on.

Holmewood & Heath were no match for their hosts Hopflower at Inkersall Green. Hopflower fired home six goals courtesy of strikes from Wain, Hadfield, Finch, Vine, Otter and Taylor. The visitors did manage a consolation effort.

Middle welcomed Tibshelf who broke the deadlock after some poor defending and despite Middle going close when a header was cleared off the line it was the visitors who took a slender lead into the interval. Pictures from the first half can be found at http://www.flickr.com/groups/1047473@N24/

The game really came alive in the second half, with both teams creating real opportunities and crucially, converting them. Tibshelf got off to a flier and pushed on to go four goals up. However, Middle were not to be overrun lightly and battled hard to make it a tense finish but falling just short by the final whistle. For the neutral this was an enthralling game. On target for the home side were George Smith and Alex Offless with a brace.
