Adventure festival thrills crowds

Over 800 thrill-seekers enjoyed a sun-soaked day of fun as Bolsover District Council hosted its annual Adventure Fest at Pleasley Vale Outdoor Activity Centre recently.

The festival gave adventurous types the chance to experience sports including caving, climbing, abseiling, mountain biking and canoeing while more relaxed participants could try their hands at bushcraft and arts in the crafts tents.

The headline act, Ash Butler, from the Extreme Wheels Mountain Bike Team, put on a show of tricks and stunts which had the crowds looking on in amazement.

The festival was organised by Bolsover Council with support from Limestone Journeys and the Heritage Lottery Fund.
