Rising squash star Ashley Davies has captured a quartet of top titles.
Ranked as the leading player in Europe aged U17, the Chesterfield-based ace scooped the Belgian Junior Open U17 laurels at the Flemish Squash Centre in Herantals.
It was a great triumph for Ashley, who is studying A levels at Brookfield School, and is his third national title.
The Brampton Manor hot shot earlier won the East Midlands U17 title, Nordic Junior Open in Malmo and the British title in Manchester which saw him become the No 1 European U17.
Ashley’s opponent in the Belgian final was Kuwait’s Yousef Saleh.
And in what turned out to be a ding-dong battle, Ashley came out on top in a five-game thriller.
Ashley said: “I got a message from Yousef the day after the tournament, congratulating me and looking forward to seeing me in January.”
Following the Belgian victory, Ashley now enters a period of intensive training at his home club as he has been selected to represent England U17s next month.
In addition, he faces the challenge of the British Junior Open, held in Sheffield in early in the new year.
