Performance poet Matt Black comes to Tideswell on Saturday for an evening of stand-up.
The poems and fiction in An Evening with Matt Black will be full of surprises, mood-changes and entertainment – serious, sharp, surreal, irritated and funny.
His subjects range from the difficulties of growing up as a unicorn in the modern world to the wheelie bin that takes revenge on consumer society.
Guitarist Adam White performs with Matt for the love-sequence Careless and The Story of Jonny Donut, Ice-Cream Seller.
Sheffield-based Matt Black, who writes poetry for adults and children, has won awards and commissions. He has toured Germany, America, Ireland, Poland and the Czech Republic.
You can catch his show at the Theatre at the URC Church Hall, Parke Road, Tideswell, on Saturday at 7:30pm. Tickets from Tideswell and Litton Stores, tel. (01298) 871063, theatre@tideswell.net or on the door.
