Tideswell Male Voice Choir has just returned from a tour of Cornwall where they competed in the fourth international Cornish Male Voice Choir Festival.
The choir was placed a creditable third in a competition which featured many choirs from all over the world.
As well as taking part in the competition in Truro, the choir entertained audiences at Falmouth and Newquay and also sang in the balmy atmosphere of the Mediterranean Dome at the Eden Project.
Another highlight of the tour was the visit to the cliff-top Minack Theatre where the choir sang to a packed audience under open blue skies as the surf broke on the rocks below them.
Tideswell Male Voice Choir's next major concerts are at the Octagon, Buxton, with Hope Valley College Big Band and Choir on May 22 (for ticket enquiries phone 01433 650707) and at Buxton Opera House with Cantamus, the internationally famous girls' choir from Mansfield, on October 4 (ticket enquiries 01298 871893).
