Tributes have been paid this week to a Derbyshire Dales business man who has died at the age of 75.
John Wildgoose was the sixth generation of his family to manage the company Wildgoose Construction, which has built schools, houses, churches and hospitals across the Midlands.

Mr Wildgoose, who passed away on August 6, was born in Matlock on January 9, 1933.

He became a qualified stone mason before being called up for national service.

He married Marjory Hinckley in August 1958 and had a son and a daughter, who both work in the family business. He also leaves seven grandchildren.

His funeral service has already taken place.
