Music from around the world could be heard in Wirksworth after a group of community-spirited residents put on their first festival.
Global Sounds was held at the Lime Kiln pub as part of future plans to create an annual event to raise awareness of climate change.
It was organised by the town's community group Sleeping Elephants who have been formed to organised events and projects which will help change the town for the better.
The night included performances from Afro-Caribbean band Mankala Beat, Anglo-Spanish group Mas Y Mas and Wirksworth's Quirky Turquoise.
