Residents in Bakewell are being given the opportunity to raise any concerns they have about the area with their local Safer Neighbourhood team.

Sgt Andy Wordsworth and his team - Pc Dave Rowbotham and PCSO Dave Teare - are holding a meeting at Bakewell Town Hall for local people, partner organisations, businesses and community representatives to discuss and decide upon policing priorities for the area.

The meeting is set to take place on Tuesday, September 4 at 2pm at Bakewell Town Hall.

Pc Rowbotham said: "These meetings are a good way for us to keep in touch with the neighbourhood. Many of the issues we deal with can be solved by working closely with councils, schools, residents or community groups and by getting people together we can work on ways to solve them.

"It is also a good chance for us to report back to people on what we have been doing in the area and on the progress we've made on any concerns raised at the last meeting."

Any residents interested in attending are being asked to contact the Bakewell Safer Neighbourhood Team by either dropping into the Police Station, calling 0845 123 33 33 or emailing bakewell.neighbourhoods@derbyshire.pnn.police.uk
