A record number of 88 nominations have been received from people keen to vote for the county's top cops.
Between February and April, Derbyshire Constabulary asked the public to nominate the community police officer, Safer Neighbourhood team and PCSO who they felt went the extra mile to help reduce crime and improve their quality of life.

The judges are preparing for the difficult job of deciding the overall winners. They will be announced on May 17 at police headquarters in Ripley.

Chief Constable Mick Creedon said: "I am delighted that so many people took the time to nominate. It means a lot to the officers that they have been nominated.

"I am grateful that people have gone to the trouble of writing about the real differences the officers and staff of Derbyshire Constabulary are making to their neighbourhoods and communities."
