Speed limits on stretches of the A6 have been reduced by Derbyshire County Council as part of a nationwide safety review.

Motorists are being urged to look out for signs showing the new 30mph limits.

The A6 has been reduced from 40mph to 30mph at:

  • Darley Dale

  • Northwood near Rowsley

  • Furness Vale between Bridgemont and New Town

  • Existing 30mph limits in Matlock Bath and Dove Holes have also been extended.

Work to examine around 600 miles of roads across the county started in September last year.
