Walkers can find out more about the history of Mam Tor as part of two new audio trails.
Each of the tours has been developed by the National Trust and Peak Experience to help visitors understand more about the area, which is also known as the 'shivering mountain'.

High Peak Estate manager Mike Innerdale said: "This is a great way for people to find out more information about Mam Tor.

"The guides have been created using characters to introduce key parts of the landscape and how this has helped shape the scenery people can enjoy today."

The audio trail takes visitors on a journey from the Mam Nick car park through a series of stops as they climb the mountain to the summit.

Both tours can be downloaded from the National Trust website www.nationaltrust.org.uk/mamtoraudio directly onto your MP3 player.

They are also available from the Peak Experience website at www.peak-experience.org.uk and the Castleton Visitor Centre.
