Four charged over cannabis plants

Four men appeared before magistrates after police seized nearly 1,000 cannabis plants at Home Farm, Sheldon, on May 8.

Vietnamese Huyphat Huy Bui (36), Manh Trong Diep (47) and Tien Van Dang (32), appeared at Chesterfield Magistrates Court on Tuesday charged with cultivating 984 plants and being in possession of cannabis with intent to supply.

They were committed in custody for trial at Crown Court.

Nader Kohanzad (56), of Home Farm, Sheldon,was charged with permitting his premises to be used for the production of cannabis. He, too, was remanded in custody until the case is committed to Crown Court on June 24.
