Young volunteers teamed up with police officers to help clean up the streets of Wirksworth.
The group of girls from Anthony Gell School, who are aged between 12 and 15 years old, joined the Safer Neighbourhood Team removing graffiti from alleyways, walls and bus shelters around the town.

School caretakers, PCSO Sue Lester, anti-social behaviour officer Karen Cooper and Sgt Dave Parker also took part in the clean-up.

PCSO Lester said: "We were delighted to offer our help as it's great to see young people willing to do something to make their environment a nicer place to live and it will really benefit everyone."
